Our temporary solutions provided are a safe place for families entering homelessness to stay while they get back on their feet.
Welcome! Community of Hope offers temporary solutions for both families with children and individuals in a few site-based programs across Washington, DC. With a safe place to stay, families and individuals are able to work to achieve their goals on a new home, employment, health, and a strong family connection.
We offer short-term housing with 24-hour support for up to 50 families. Children of all ages can play and do homework while we help parents quickly develop a plan to move into their own home.
Families are referred through Virginia Williams Family Resource Center, the central intake for DC’s coordinated homelessness assistance system for families. If you or somebody you know is experiencing homelessness or is at risk of homelessness, please contact the Virginia Williams Family Resource Center.

Each of our health centers is a community health center, also called a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). That means that we are a part of a national network of community health centers funded in part by the federal government to make sure that high quality health care is available to everyone. We also receive our malpractice insurance from the federal government through the Federal Torts Claims Act. Community of Hope is fully deemed in this program. More information on FQHCs is available here.
