Birthing Justice: A Call to Hope and Action with DC Leadership
Community of Hope hosts an exclusive screening of new documentary Birthing Justice to lead in national discussion around Black Maternal Health
Washington, DC – January 22, 2023 – Community of Hope is hosting an exclusive screening and panel discussion about, Birthing Justice, a Women In The Room Production documentary that tells the story of the crisis faced by Black mothers and their children and the solutions needed to transform the maternal care system. The film features four areas in the country, including Washington, DC and Community of Hope.
What: Community of Hope leaders, DC government leadership, and the Birthing Justice film director will take on the national conversation about Black Maternal Health with a focus on the District.
Birthing Justice is a feature length documentary discussing the issues fueling the maternal health crisis within the African American community and advocating for best practices to enhance birthing equity for all women, especially Black women. The film features four areas in the country, including Washington, DC and Community of Hope’s team and patients.
