Family Health and Birth Center

Our Family Caring for Yours 

Community of Hope’s Family Health and Birth Center moved to Langdon in Northeast DC in March 2022.  The Center includes a nationally accredited Birth Center and provides a range of healthcare services for your entire family, with a special focus on serving pregnant parents and their babies. We offer same-day appointments for urgent visits. Parking is available on site.

Some of the services you and your family can receive are:

• Physicals, immunizations, and urgent visits
• Comprehensive medical care for children, teens, adults, and seniors
• Emotional wellness support for children, teens, and adults including short- and long-term therapy, substance use support, and psychiatric services
• Convenient hours, including Saturday’s
• Insurance enrollment and advocacy – staff certified by DC Health Link
• Midwifery care with birth center or hospital delivery option
• Pregnancy support groups and care coordination
• Women, Infant, and Child nutrition services (WIC)
• Breastfeeding education and support
• Comprehensive sexual health care including HIV testing and family planning counseling
• Lab services
• Specialty care coordination and chronic disease management
• Pediatric services and support
• Nutrition and wellness counseling
• Referrals to social services
• Support for those who speak English as a second language 

Are you an expectant parent? Learn more about our birthing services here. We offer hospital births and a limited number of births at our free-standing birth center.

We accept Medicare and Medicaid and most private insurances. If you do not have insurance, we have enrollment assisters at this location who can get you signed up for the best plan to meet your healthcare needs and answer your coverage questions. We have a sliding fee scale for those without insurance or high out-of-pocket costs with their insurance.
