Contributions – large and small, financial and otherwise – are our lifeblood. Your support helps make it possible for us to provide housing and supportive services to homeless families with children, along with healthcare to individuals with little or no insurance.

We accept financial contributions (cash, check, credit card or stock), in-kind contributions (such as household goods) and gift cards for Adopt-A-Family.

We greatly appreciate your financial contributions. Donations are accepted by mail, in person or online (please contact our Development Department at (202) 407-7747 before making gifts in person).

Consider making a tribute gift to Community of Hope to honor a loved one’s memory, or to recognize a birthday or personal achievement. Please include a note with the name and address of those you wish us to notify of your contribution (the amount of your gift will NOT be disclosed)

Adopt-A-Family: Each December Community of Hope collects Target gift cards for our housing families. This program brings holiday spirit to the children and families that we serve. Adopt-A-Family helps them to celebrate a joyful holiday season by providing them with gift cards to purchase gifts for their families.

Stock: You can make gifts of stock.

United Way/Combined Federal Campaign (UW/CFC)/Workplace Giving: Community of Hope participates in United Way and the Combined Federal Campaign. To designate Community of Hope as your charity of choice, please use one of the following codes: United Way #8389; CFC #37854. If your company runs its own workplace giving campaign, check with your campaign manager on how to designate Community of Hope as the recipient of your workplace gift.

Bequests/Planned Gifts: Community of Hope accepts bequests and other planned gifts. Please contact your financial advisor for advice and information.

Corporate/Organization Giving: There are a number of ways you and your employees can give. Sponsor an event, encourage your employees to donate through workplace giving campaigns such as United Way (#8389) or CFC (#37854), or hold a donation drive (student bookbags, home goods, etc.).

We are happy to send a representative to do a presentation on how you and your staff can reach out to our neighbors in greatest need.
