Stephanie Marrone leads our Play Night at Hope. As a committed volunteer, she organizes creative crafts and hands-on projects for the children at Hope Apartments to explore each Tuesday night in the playroom.
Stephanie gets an “energy boost” by playing with the children at Hope. She and the other Play Night volunteers have become a family and look forward to spending quality time together each week.
“Everyone at Hope makes me feel like a valued member of their community--the staff, the parents, the other volunteers, but mostly the children. When they see my car, they open their windows and call out to me, ‘Hi, Miss Stephanie!’ That warm welcome is just one of the priceless benefits of volunteering at Hope. I look forward to retiring from my job as a park ranger, so I can get even more involved.”
Stephanie is an instrumental part of our volunteer corps. She empowers fellow volunteers to serve and enriches the lives of the children she reaches. As delighted as she is to serve, we are even more grateful for her generosity. As Marian Wright Edleman says, “service is the price we pay for living,” and Stephanie’s gift of hope is truly invaluable.
