WASHINGTON, DC, JUNE 25, 2018 – Community of Hope has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces Award by The Washington Post. This 2018 award is the fourth time in five years that the organization and its employees have received this award. The other years are 2014, 2016, and 2017. Community of Hope is the only top workplace with headquarters east of the river to gain this recognition and one of two human services and healthcare organizations serving DC.
The award is based on the feedback from Community of Hope’s over 225 employees in a survey administered by Energage, formerly WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. Community of Hope scored higher compared to similar organizations on statements affirming employees’ pay rate and benefits package, likelihood to recommend working at our organization, support from management, work-life balance and flexibility, and connection to the mission and vision.
“Walking in the doors of any one of our eight sites is an opportunity to be energized by committed, caring, and passionate staff who work hard to see families stably housed and that people receive quality healthcare. Our board is honored to partner with such a fantastic team,” says Dr. Tabari Baker, Chair, Board of Directors, Community of Hope.
“I am so proud of our amazing team at Community of Hope. We have a motto about Raising Our Sights that drives us to improve, exceed expectations and do more for our clients, and this award is an example of that excellence,” says Kelly Sweeney McShane, President and CEO of Community of Hope.
This year a total of 150 companies will receive Top Workplace honors at the celebration on Thursday, June 21,2018 at The Washington Post Headquarters. Community of Hope and the complete list of honorees were featured in a special section of The Washington Post on Sunday, June 24, 2018.
