THE WASHINGTON POST NAMES COMMUNITY OF HOPE A WINNER
OF THE GREATER WASHINGTON AREA 2017 TOP WORKPLACES AWARD
WASHINGTON, DC, JUNE 16, 2016 – Community of Hope has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces Award by The Washington Post. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.
The award is based on the feedback from Community of Hope’s over 200 employees, who scored higher compared to similar organizations on statements affirming their pay rate, the efficiency of the organization, interdepartmental communications, decision-making, and vision. This is the second consecutive year that the organization has received the Top Workplace Award and the third time in four years. Community of Hope is the only top workplace with headquarters east of the river to gain this recognition and one of three organizations providing healthcare and social services.
“This award is due to our staff’s incredible commitment to building and sustaining a thriving organization. I am grateful and honored to work with such a passionate, dedicated team who truly support Community of Hope’s mission to serve families in Washington, DC,” says Kelly Sweeney McShane, President and CEO of Community of Hope.
A total of 150 companies received Top Workplace honors at the celebration on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at The Washington Post Headquarters. Community of Hope and the complete list of honorees will be featured in a special section of The Washington Post on Sunday, June 18, 2017.
