September 23, 2015 – Community of Hope celebrates 35 years serving our nation’s capital by ensuring that low-income families have stable housing and good health. The celebration will take place at the organization’s annual event, Night of Hope, on October 8th from 6:30-9:00pm on The Roof Terrace at 101 Constitution Ave, NW. Night of Hope is sponsored by the Bedford Falls Foundation.
Bill Conway of the Bedford Falls Foundation and co-founder of The Carlyle Group will serve as the honorary host. The event will be emceed by Lesli Foster, WUSA9 news anchor, and Bob Levey, philanthropist and former Washington Post columnist, will be the auctioneer for a brief ‘raise your paddle’ live auction. The evening will also feature remarks from Kelly Sweeney McShane, Community of Hope’s President and CEO, as well as Alyce McFarland, who will share her amazing story of recovery from homelessness to starting her masters degree.
