A Reason to Smile Again: Gail’s Story

Gail never expected a flyer at her local public library to change her life, but that’s exactly what happened when she discovered Community of Hope’s dental program. High costs had left her struggling to complete critical dental work. “I care about my teeth,” Gail says, “but I simply couldn’t afford to finish the work. I didn’t know what to do.”

That’s when Community of Hope stepped in, offering the support she desperately needed. “From the moment I walked through the door, I felt reassured. The staff was prompt and welcoming, and the facility was so clean and organized,” Gail recalls. What really stood out to her was how the dental team took the time to explain each step of her treatment, making her feel at ease. “I met Dr. Bracey Stokes, and she was wonderful—sensitive, funny, and a perfectionist in her work.”

For Gail, the difference between the care at Community of Hope and other dental clinics was striking. She describes how Dr. Bracey Stokes meticulously analyzed her bite and replaced old fillings, giving her a smile that was not only functional but beautiful. “Her work was even superior to other top-rated dentists I’ve been to,” Gail says with pride. “My teeth are now exquisite works of art, and I no longer have dental pain.”

Community of Hope didn’t just treat Gail’s teeth; they restored her confidence. “I love to smile, but it can be embarrassing to have dark marks or silver showing when you smile,” she says. With the help of the rest of the team, Gail received thorough instructions on maintaining her oral health and was provided with the tools to continue her care at home. “They even gave me a dental kit with toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste. The attention to detail was incredible,” she says.

The care Gail received went beyond just dental procedures. It was the compassion and commitment of every staff member that truly left an impact on her. Receptionist Cornelia Harris went out of her way to assist Gail and her parents, even coming out to the car to help when her father, who uses a wheelchair, needed assistance. “Everyone at Community of Hope treated us like family,” Gail shares

Gail is now an advocate for Community of Hope’s dental program, telling friends and family about the exceptional care she received. She’s shared information with her family, friends, and online community. “I want people to see the results—to see what’s possible with the right care,” she says with a smile. “Community of Hope gave me back my smile, and for that, I’m so grateful.”
