From the Metro – Red Line
Community of Hope’s administrative offices are located less than 2 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro on the Red Line, in The Johns Hopkins Bernstein-Offit Building. Upon exiting the metro’s south entrance, take the first exit from the traffic circle onto Massachusetts Avenue, NW. The office building is on the left side of the street between 18th and 17th streets.
Metro Bus Lines
Eastbound
N2/3/4/6- Exit the bus in Dupont Circle. Take the Massachusetts Avenue, NW exit from the circle and walk less than 2 blocks; the office building is on the left between 17th and 18th Streets, NW.
Westbound
G2- Take the bus towards Georgetown. Your stop will be P and 17th Streets, NW. Walk south on 17th Street, NW to Massachusetts Avenue, NW. Turn left on Massachusetts and the building will be on your right.
Southbound
52/53/54 (14th Street Line) - Take the bus towards L’Enfant Plaza or McPherson Square. Your stop will be 14th Street and Rhode Island Avenue, NW. Upon exiting the bus, walk 3 blocks SW on Rhode Island (towards 15th Street). At Scott Circle, exit onto Massachusetts Avenue, NW and walk 1 block to office building on the right.
Driving Directions
From Columbia Heights, drive south on 14th Street, NW. Turn right at Rhode Island Avenue, NW. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Massachusetts Ave NW. The building will be on the right after 17th St. Street parking is available around the building but limited. A public parking garage is located next to the building.

Take the Green Line towards Branch Ave to the Anacostia metro stop. Exit the station and proceed to bus bay A to take the P18 bus towards Fort Washington Park & Ride to South Capitol Street and Halley Place. Walk South on S. Capitol Street.
Take Green line towards Branch Ave to Anacostia metro station. Take A4 bus towards DC Village via Fort Drum. Walk south on S. Capitol St, approximately 500 feet.
Driving Directions (from downtown)
Take Constitution Ave NW to 15th St. NW. 15th St NW will turn into 15th St. SW. Then turn left onto Maine Ave SW. Take Interstate 395 N/Southwest Freeway ramp on the left to South Capitol Street. Merge onto I-395 N. Continue onto Southwest Freeway. Take exit toward So. Capitol St/Nationals Park. Merge onto S Capitol St. SW. Slight left to stay on S Capitol St. SW for approximately 2.9 miles. Slight left to stay on S Capitol St SW. Covenant Baptist Church will be on your right.

Take the westbound X2 bus towards the Minnesota Ave Station. Get off at Benning Rd NE and 17th Street NE. Walk east towards 17th Street NE and then turn left onto 17th Street NE. FHBC will be on your right.
Metro Rail – Blue or Orange
Take the Blue or Orange trains towards New Carrolton/Largo Town Center to Minnesota Ave. Walk North on 19th Street SE (toward Bay St) for .9 miles. Turn left onto Benning Road. Turn right onto 17th St NE. FHBC will be on your right.
Driving Directions (from downtown)
Take Constitution Ave eastbound towards Northeast. Turn right onto US-1 Alt N. Turn left to stay on US-1 Alt N for approximately one mile. Turn left onto 6th St. NE. Turn right onto Maryland Ave NE. Slight right onto Benning Road NE. Turn left onto 17th St. NE. FHBC will be on your right.

From the Metro - Green Line
Community of Hope’s Girard Street Apartments are located three blocks south of the Columbia Heights Metro Station on the Green Line. When you arrive at the Columbia Heights Station, take the southbound exit on your left. You will be on 14th and Irving Streets, NW. Walk to your right onto 14th, and go past the 7 Eleven, Columbia Road and Harvard Street to Girard Street. Turn right on Girard Street, NW. Community of Hope is the second building on your right.
Metro Bus Lines (from downtown)
52, 53, 54/14th Street Line -You can catch this bus along 14th Street, NW. Take the northbound bus towards Takoma or 14th and Colorado. Your stop will be 14th and Fairmont Streets. Once you get off the bus, cross 14th Street and walk along Girard to the second building on your right.
S1, S2, S4 (16th Street/Potomac Park Line): You catch this bus along 16th Street NW. Take the northbound bus toward Silver Spring. Get off at 16th and Harvard Streets, NW. Walk east on Harvard Street, turn right at the corner onto 15th Street toward Girard Street. Turn left on Girard. Community of Hope will be on your left, the next-to-last building.
Driving Directions
Drive northon 14th Street NW until you get to Girard Street (between Fairmont and Harvard Streets, NW). Take a left onto Girard Street, NW; we are the first building on the right facing Girard Street. Street parking is available but limited. Public parkng is available further north at the DC USA shopping complex on at 14th and Irving Streets, NW.

From the Metro – Green Line
Hope Apartments are closest to the Anacostia Metro Station on the Green line. (It is a 30-40 minute walk from the metro.) If you choose not to walk, you will need to transfer to a bus right outside the station. You can transfer to either the A2, A4, or A8.
Metro Bus Lines
From the A2: Take the A2 bus towards the Southern Avenue Station. Exit at the Mississippi Avenue and 2nd Street, SE stop. Walk .18 mile north to 3715 2nd Streetm SE.
From the A4: Take the A4 Bus towards DC Village via Fort Drum. Exit at the Martin Luther King Avenue and Upsal Street, SE stop. Walk .19 mile east (downhill) to 2nd Street, SE. Take a right to 3715 2nd SE.
From the A8: Take the A8 towards Livingston via South Capitol Street, SE. Exit at Martin Luther King Avenue and Upsal Street, SE. Walk 0.19 mileeEast (downhill) to 2nd Street. Take a right to 3715 2nd Street, SE.
Driving Directions (from downtown)
Take 295 South over the Anacostia River, take the Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. exit on the left. This will put you directly onto MLK Jr. Avenue. Go 2.3 miles and bear left at Horner Place, SE (right past the National Children’s Center), turn left at Upsal Street, SE and then right at 2nd Street, SE. Hope Apartments will be on your right. Parking available behind the building. Please use the entrance at the front of the building. Reverse: Head left onto 2nd Street SE, take a left onto Upsal Street SE, and then a right at the top of the hill onto Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. Go 2.3 miles and take a right onto V Street, SE and then the first left onto 13th St. SE. This will lead you right to the entrance for 295N.
Marie Reed Health Center

Community of Hope’s Marie Reed Health Center is located inside the Marie Reed Elementary School on 18th Street in Adams Morgan. It is just under a mile from both the Dupont Circle Metro Station on the red line and U Street/Cardoza Station on the green line.
From the Metro - Red Line
When you arrive at the Dupont Circle Station, take the northbound exit. You will be on Q Street and Connecticut Avenue, NW. Walk right on Q Street to 18th Street. Turn left onto 18th Street and walk for approximately one mile until you reach Kalorama Street, NW. (You will pass the tennis courts for Marie Reed School on the right.) Walk right/down Kalorama Street; this will dead end at Champlain Street. Turn right onto Champlain Street. The entrance to the health center is on the left, underneath the walkway connecting the two buildings of Marie Reed School.
From the Metro - Green Line
When you arrive at the U Street/Cardoza Station, take the exit for 13th Street NW. Head west (to the left) on U Street for ½ mile. Turn right onto 18th Street, NW for a few blocks until you reach Kalorama Street, NW. (You will pass the tennis courts for Marie Reed School on the right.) Walk right/down Kalorama Street; this will dead end at Champlain Street. Turn right onto Champlain Street. The entrance to the health center is on the left, underneath the walkway connecting the two buildings of Marie Reed School.

The clinic is located in the Marie Reed Learning Center. From 18th Street NW turn right onto Kalorama Street, NW. Turn right onto Champlain Street. The health center is on your left underneath the walkway that connects the two buildings of Marie Reed School.

Take Constitution AVE NW to 15th St. NW. Take 15th St. South towards SW. Turn left onto Maine Ave SW. Take Interstate 395 N/Southwest Freeway ramp on the left to South Capitol Street.
