Mentor a youth - Break the cycle of poverty!
What is a mentor? A wise and trusted friend. A mentor guides, listens, coaches and is a positive role models for their mentee. The mentor encourages the mentee to develop to his or her highest potential. The mentor helps their mentee to develop a vision for the future and exposes their mentee to new experiences.
How much time is required? The mentoring pair is expected to meet at least twice per month for a total of 4 hours or more each month. You should be able to commit for one year or more, be flexible, and have lots of energy!
Mentors must be aged 21 or over.
Mentors must be able to commit for at least one year.
Mentors must be able to meet with their mentee at least twice a month for at least 4 hours each month.
Mentors will complete an application, interview, and orientation.
Mentors must be willing to undergo a fingerprint background check.
Mentors must be in good health.
