Community of Hope meets the needs of homeless families with children through three different programs, all of which provide supportive services:

Girard Street Apartments: Temporary housing in 20 apartments in Columbia Heights. Each family has their own Case Manager and Youth Advocate. Adults attend weekly Life Skills Classes and children can choose from a range of on-site activities including homework help, tutoring and arts and crafts classes.

Hope Apartments: Transitional housing in 10 apartments in Congress Heights. Hope Apartments is especially for families where the head of household is in recovery for substance abuse. Families are able to stay together while the parent attends out-patient treatment. Each family has their own Case Manager and Youth Advocate and adults have daily support groups. Children can choose from a range of on-site activities.

Home Now: Permanent housing in 50 scattered site apartments with 15 year leases. Each family has their own Case Manager and Youth Advocate who visits families in their homes. A Wellness Coordinator works with families to address health care needs and connect them to medical services.
